GREAT WEB SITES FOR TEACHERS
1. Let's use the social bookmarking site called del.icio.us. Click on http://thinkingmachine.pbwiki.com/Think%20delicious for a short tutorial on using this bookmarking tool. Next go to http://del.icio.us/ and sign up for an account. With this account you can use your saved bookmarks on any computer anywhere you work.
2. One way to share web sites with your students is to open a word document, copy and paste the URL onto the document and type a topic
either above or below the web addresses. You will see how I've made lists of web sites this way. Students can then open the word document to select the web site.
3. A quick way to browse web sites selected by teachers is to sign up for Kathy Schrock's weekly update and Pete Mackay's teacher list. You receive one web site to check out once a week. http://school.discoveryeducation.com/schrockguide/ and http://www.theteacherlist.ca/
4. Another great site for teachers is an education wiki. It has many educational topics created by different teachers. http://eduwikius.wikispaces.com/
